Waves Audio announced that they’re releasing a free VST plugin on Black Friday. Interested users can sign up now to reserve their free plugin on November 25th, 2022.
Getting a free Waves plugin on Black Friday has become a tradition. Waves Audio releases a Black Friday every year, whether it’s something completely new and original or an old plugin that’s free for a limited time.
Here are several freebies Waves Audio offered over the years:

Evidently, Black Friday is a good time to visit the Waves Audio website. But it’s best to sign up and reserve your plugin as soon as possible, as the high traffic usually causes website issues once the freebie drops. If you sign up in advance, Waves will send you a free copy via email.
Some of the previous freebies weren’t so well received by the users (such as the Lofi Space plugin), but some are undeniably excellent plugins. One such example is the Sibilance de-esser which remains one of the best de-esser plugins on the market. The plugin now costs $79 (currently on sale for $29), but many users got it for free as a Black Friday gift in 2018.
The promo video doesn’t reveal much, except stating that “This Black Friday your sound will change.” The video looks like it was shot on vintage film, though, so perhaps that is a clue?

“On Black Friday, Nov 25, we’ll send you an email with instructions on how to get your free plugin. Come back to Waves.com on Black Friday to get it free. In the meantime: Get early access to Black Friday Deals – NOW!”
Waves claim that the forthcoming freebie will be a brand new plugin, so we know for sure it won’t be a reissue of an old product.
